Deputy Chairman, The Fine Art Group

Jan Prasens joined The Fine Art Group in 2021 as Deputy Chairman, overseeing the strategic growth of the business globally and working closely with the art finance team on bespoke collateral-based loans.  Formerly, Jan spent 20 years at Sotheby's in various executive roles. During his decade long tenure as Managing Director of Sotheby's Financial Services he led a rapid growth of company's art lending practice, overseeing funding of more than $3 billion in loans. Subsequently, he served as Managing Director of Sotheby's Europe, Middle East, Russia, and India and was responsible for all aspects of the company's business in the region. Jan holds MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business.
