Journalist and filmmaker and Executive Director of the Rabkin Foundation

Mary Louise Schumacher is a journalist, critic and filmmaker. Her documentary film about art critics, Out of the Picture, will be released this year. She was a longtime art and architecture critic for the MilwaukeeJournal Sentinel, and recently became the Executive Director of the Dorothea and Leo Rabkin Foundation, known for giving a prize for excellence in arts journalism to writers each year. She lives inPortland, Maine, where the foundation is based.
